Time Not Wasted

Since I have been home, I have discovered that my blogs no longer showed a background.

I was TOTALLY bummed that my "Scrappin' Blogs" backgrounds no longer worked . . . they were my favorite backgrounds. My next fave is "Leelou Blogs." Their site was up but I couldn't get the codes for their backgrounds/templates.

This has meant a morning of searching and searching the wed for a template that was plain . . . after many errors in judgement, I finally found one.

Hopefully, now if I can find a  background I like, I can add it and won't mess up anything.

Do You Ever?

Do you ever read a blog and think to yourself, "Self? Isn't this a neat background? Why does everyone have such neat blog backgrounds and mine is so dull and boring? I wish I could ind something as pretty as theirs!"

I think this all of the time. So many of the backgrounds are so soft and pretty. They look so soft and feminine. They make me want to pull them up around me and just snuggle in.

Then, I go and look at the different sites and nothing hits me as something I want. Now, why is that?

I know, I know. . . I said, the other day, that I like all of the bells and whistles that you can get with a template and not with a background. But, when the backgrounds are so pretty, one doesn't need bells and whistles. Right?

Also, I wonder about all of the comments hat some blogs have. They don't seem to have 80,000,000 followers, yet, by the time I get to read them, which is normally between Kathie Lee/Hoda and The View. Sometimes my morning reading will extend into the repeat of The Dan Patrick Show on DirecTv. So I am reading them in the morning . . . are there that many "bloggies"  who don't work and have all morning to read blogs?

As I sit here and say, "Self, isn't that you you are explaining?"

And "self" answers, "Well, no. I am a retired teacher who paid my dues for 34 years and deserves to sit here and do nothing but waste my time 24/7."

Now, does THAT ever sound self serving?  LOLOLOL

Well, I think you get my drift . . . so many pretty blogs are out there, too little time to use each and everyone of them and always wishing I could have posts  thought provoking enough that people would have this deep urge to respond.

WOW! I sound so pathetic and needy today,, don't I? (Hint: this is where you leave a comment . . . LOLOL)

SO, back to working on my June Swap pot-holder for Cat . . . I have the front of one made and the back is almost 1/2 done. Then, might make a second one so she has a set of wild, summer colored pot holders.

So, Cat, if you are reading this . . . yes, they are in mid-made and will be in the mail the 1st of the month. Well, probably not June 1st, but sometime that week . . . so don't start looking for mail yet!
