Scary Happening Today

We had a
SCARY HAPPENING
today.
Gene and I had gone to TOPS
our local grocery.
Indy
LOVES
to ride in the car.
When the weather is nice,
like today,we take her . . .
always remembering
to leave the windows down a bit
to let air circulate.
When we were in the pet food/treats aisle we hear:
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS
would the Paula
who owns
1 2001 Red Windstar
please report to her car?
OH MY GOD ! ! ! ! ! ! !
I immediately had visions
of Indy getting out, somehow,
and being hit.
After losing Sadie,
I worry so much about this.
As I leave the store . . .
and I can't remember
moving THAT FAST in years . . .

I notice that a police car
is behind the van,
a girl is on a cell phone
next to the police car
and a younger guy
is by the carts,
which are next to our car.
I started to feel better
since no one was looking at the pavement.
I moved faster and yelled to the policeman,
"That's my car,
what's wrong?"
By now, I am next to him.
He said they were worried
that Indy didn't have enough cool air in the car
since it was starting to get warmer outside.
My heart felt
SO MUCH LIGHTER . . .
she was panting
like she normally does
when she gets nervous
about us leaving her.
I talk to her
through the lowered part of my window,
she is excited to see me.
Since we have a FORD
we have button access to unlock the doors.
I unlock them
and sit in the drivers seat
so the door is open
and she can get some cooler air.
Then,
since it is taking Gene
SO LONG to finish the shopping,
(he ad been out to see what was wrong
and when he found out everything was okay,
he went back inside to finish)
that Indy and I took a short walk.
When we got back
we sat outside the store
and he STILL didn't come
except to come out to pick up the coupons I had.
So,
I moved the car to be closer
to pick him,
and the groceries,
up.
It was cooler here
and he STILL
didn't come.
We could have taken a longer walk
out on the walkway
that runs along
the Niagara River.
Finally he does make it out
and asks about what had gone on.
I believe,
if memory serves me right,
this might have actually been
the 1st time,
since we moved here,
that he has actually listened to something I said.

AMAZING

A MIRACLE

BETTER LOOK OUTSIDE TO SEE IF THREE WISEMEN ON CAMELS ARE
COMING
this is a once in a lifetime experience
they won't want to miss.
