Jackson's 1st Christmas Ornament

This was designed for Jackson William Latta,

my great nephew

(who was born this summer), for his 1st Christmas.

I thought the candle looked like a #1 and would be appropriate for a 1st Christmas.

The "pillow" is probably not much bigger that 1 1/2" square.

I hand sewed a running stitch to join the two pieces of fabric.

Needed something small for the hanger

so I crocheted DMC floss with the smallest

steel hook I have

(don't remember the number  . . . but it was TINY!)

American/German Heart

Finally, an American Heart finished.

I have had this sitting around for several weeks,

 finally got it finished this weekend 

 and pictures taken today.

I'm pretty happy with it.

It is my American/German Heart.

It can hang anywhere . . .

from a kitchen cabinet knob

to a Christmas Tree.

Several Finishes

When I say "several finishes" I mean I have finished 1 item that has been done, but not in presentation form, and then made and finished several dishcloths.

Here are the dishcloths. As you will be able to see, I am on a roll here.

The middle and the one to the right are done with remnants.
This is a great way to use up left over #3 yarn . . or 2 threads of #10 held together. 

This is my American/German heart. I wanted to use red/white and blue fabric for the backing but, of course, I couldn't remember where I paced it. So, I went with the fabric shown.

These could become my addiction . . . except my eyes go funky after I have been working on one for a while.
