What have I been up to lately, you may ask?

Instead of my normal crocheting, I have been working o my 100 Blessings Sampler. (You can find it through the Snowman in the right margin.)

I thought it would be relatively easy to think of 100 Blessings, but, in actuality, it has been hard. The first 20 - 30 came like a snap . . but since then I have really had to think. I guess I take my blessings for granted, or consider them a part of my normal life.

I don't think of them as something special that I could lose in an instant. Perhaps, if I looked at it that way, they would be easier to find . . what would I miss if I lost it in an instant and couldn't retrieve it.

Bingo . . I just hit on one . . my memory . . . and no smart remarks that I am losing it as I get older.

This is the first 66 Blessings of my 100 Blessings. If you wonder what anything stands for, leave me a comment and I will answer back in the comments section.

  1. I have been wondering what you were up to. It's coming along nicely I'd say. Are you planning on framing it?

    1. One day, if I ever finish it it will be framed. My eyes decided they didn't want to do Cross Stitch at this point and haven't gotten any better. But, I still have plans to finish.

  2. Wow, this is a big project. I like the personalizing of it. Did you purchase cloth with squares marked? Do you then decide what you want to put into the project? I cross stitch and do needlepoint but would not have the patience for this project. Oh I knit and crochet.

  3. It's nice to see you! I was beginning to worry. I was just wondering if I could come up with 100 blessings. It sounds easier than it probably is. I know one blessing you have and that's your weather right now! I looked on your page the other day and saw that you were having high 70's in the day and 60's at night. That is just about perfect for me and would be just awesome right about now. It's been so damn hot here. Very oppressive actually. It's really nice to see you post Paula. xoxo
