Mail Art

Have any of you Cross Stitchers heard of Mail Art (I think it is called) where you cross stitch a design and make it into an envelope . . and then cross stitch the recipients address on the front and actually MAIL it?

I came across it on a post and it was AWESOME looking.

I just Googled Cross Stitch Mail Art  and found this site with some neat pictures.

Here are two of my favorites, all from Little Rabbit Miniatures.

Let me know what you think . . . the ink from the postal service and the stamps add to the charm.

  1. That looks really cool, but wow what a lot of work! I would worry that the post office would ruin it, know what I mean?

  3. I like the second one but I'm like Julie....I would be worried about the post office too. Have you seen mail run through their machines??? All that work to be screwed up by a machine....

  4. they are both pretty, but it is true I usually put them in plastic and stuff them in an envelope so they stay pretty.
