Weeds are Underappreciated Flowers

As I was outside, today, taking pictures for my last post, I decided it was time to snap some of the flowers in the front of the house.

Here is a little tour around my 10 foot x 20 foot piece of heaven.
Our Mini-Butterfly Bush has become a "Not-so-mini" bush.

On this side of the porch is my swing . . .I have the BEST view on the block.

Again, Blogger Smell-o-vision would be nice for this one.

I wish the mallow were in full bloom . . . they are magnificent.

There's Miss Indy surveying her "queen-dom."

Every time I look at these I am amazed my re-potting looks so "fine."

Jacquie Bean, who I taught with for MANY YEARS, painted the flower pot for me.
It fits so nice on my old chair, scrounged from the neighbor's trash pile 5 years ago.
When we finish the painting on the porch,
the chair is going to get a paint job . . put still look distressed.
a new coat of paint

If you can see the Welcome stone,
it was made for us,
as a house warming gift,
from the prop. of
Sandberg's Bed and No Breakfast.
I think I REALLY do need to weed the rest of our
"graveyard" bed.
