Lavender Hat Update

This hat is so gosh darned cute. I'm posting the booties too just so you can see what they look like together. Now, I will finish the dress and post the whole ensemble.

The hat was supposed to have a flower for the decoration. But, Ellie Grace's momma has chosen butterflies for her room . . . her  marriage to my nephew is her second, and she sees it as a rebirth to her life . . . and Ellie Grace is the result of her rebirth.

I know she will love the butterfly . . . I hope you can see that it is 3-dimensional.

Oh, there was supposed to be a ribbon woven through the lighter lavender round so the hat can be tightened if necessary. I think I will use a deep lavender for this. I am sure I can't match either color I have used and something darker would go with it. Plus, the buttons on the dress are a dark lavender.
