Giving You a Finger and the Latest Finish

First, semi gross picture. . . well, not gross, just weird

For about a month the inside of my right thumb has been itching off and on. Sunday night, it was almost unbearable. I would make the "okay" sign with my left hand, put my thumb inside the circle of the thumb and forefinger and just rotate it. I was doing it so hard I figured I'd end up with a blister.

Didn't have a blister on Monday morning, but it still itched. I called the doctor and made an appointment with their physician's assistant, She checked it out, asked me all the relative questions and faxed a script to WalMArt for a cortisone cream. Her diagnosis was Eczema.

Hum, wonder how THAT happened? All the normal things, washing dishes, change in soap, etc, haven't happened so I guess it is just pure luck.

So cortisone cream twice a day, Eucerin between times and hope for the best. Right now it has a leathery feel . . . kind of like Dad's cheek felt after he had shingles in, and around, his eye, and down his cheek.

Here is the latest project. Baby crochet pattern JC23A by Just Crochet. I used Caron's Simply Soft. The lavender color is Orchid . . . can't remember the corresponding color, but it is the only one that goes with the orchid.

I ran out of the orchid and had to finish the last two rounds with variegated and do the front edge in the variegated. I think it worked. I did add the picot to the shell edge to finish it off.

If I could change something, I would make the edging, where the ribbon passes through, a DC instead of sc . . . would make it easier to weave the ribbon.

Doesn't this look like the perfect Easter Sweater? If I'm lucky, it will fit her next spring . . . I used a G hook instead of the suggested size and everyone in the Just Crochet Ravelry group think it will be close to a 12 mo size  so I should be okay.

I bought a 6" Styrofoam ball to use as a guide for my infant's hats. I was never sure if I was making them the size I needed, so I bought this ball and a larger one for my adult hats.
