Presidents Day Sale

Did PT for the left meniscus
yesterday afternoon.
Then took a short drive down Sheridan
made a let on Niagara Falls Blvd,
passed right by Michael's
and Joannes,
made a bee-line right for AC Moore.

AC Moore was having a $1 Day Sale
and I partook of it.
 13 Rolls of 1/4" ribbons
4/$1.00, wish I could have found
3 more I really wanted.

Next, 4/$100 skeins of DMC
I took the ring I keep my floss on withe
and then looked for color families
that I liked.
I looked for 2 or 33 colors in a family
that had a distinct color change.
If it was in a family i had,
great.
If not, I now have
colors for shading/blending.

I still have a long way to go
to be back at 100% of the colors like I had,
but, any progress is better than none.

I found out this morning
that if I wrapped the floss,
horizontally,
around a 1" 3-ring binder,
then cut it on the side that opens,
I end up with pieces of yarn that are a great length.

Then, cut the color number off the band,
slip It on the floss,
slide the floss through a cabone ring
and finish it off by braiding it

I finished my red and yellow flosses
and have greens, blues, purples,
blacks/greys/whites and browns to do.

I h ave a great idea for an ornie,
for the nephew and his fiance.
I was going to draw it out
on the PC yesterday,
but genealogy waylaid me.
Maybe today.

Oh,
I did get quite a bit done on the hat
for Baby Girl Musgrove.
I tell you,
knitting on #1 needles
sure makes the hat go slow . . .
but it looks so cute :0}

Must go  . . .
NHL Network is going to do
an interview with the Sabres new owner,
Terry Pegula.
He just did his 1st conference as the owner ,
today at HSBC Arena.
It really was cute,
he is a Sabres Fan,
from way back,
and has always wanted to own the Sabres.

It;'s his dream come true.
Acts like a kid in a candy store.
Hope they do well for him.

  1. My dear - pray tell, what did you do to your knee that requires PT? PT on knees sucks!

Oh, President Day Sales! I am still near 100% of DMC - I used to be completely caught up on all hand dyes too. Not any more. :( Oh well!

Have fun stitching - and rewrapping floss!

  2. I have to stay away from AC Moore, although I want to go there and get more of the Bernat Mosaic that I like. But I know if I go in there I will go crazy....like I always do. xoxo
