Chocolate Fishies

Chocolate Fishies . .  now is THAT an adorable name?

Right now, it is a very sad name. My friend, Cadi. Those of you inRavelry know her as Cadililly.

SHe is having a horrobly rough time right now Worse than any of us would want to experience. Therefore, I am asking each and every one of you to read the cross posting below, visit her blog and help out.

She is so trying to keep her two two teenaged sons and son to be 1 year old daughter together in a home that she bought, when things were looking better for her. Now, she is on the brink of losing everything she has worked for.

Please read the guest post below on her blog:

The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt.
- Frederick Buechner
There is a time in each and every one of our lives, no matter where we come from, no matter who we are and what we have accomplished that we are in need of help. From each other. From our community. There are times that not only a physical showing of our impression upon those around us is required, but a definite and glowing faith in the community.

For Cadi and her children, that time is now. Being shy about her circumstances and not wanting to burden those around her, she has not written or told many of what hurdles she is facing at this time. Without infringing on her privacy and what she is comfortable with sharing, I want you to know she is struggling. Financially and emotionally. She is in real and imminent danger of losing her home and being unable to feed her children and herself.

For those of you who know Cadi, whether in real live or in the “blogosphere”, you are aware of her love and devotion for her children. Above all things, Cadi is “mother”. At this time, Cadi’s fear is for her children and how she will be able to keep them in a safe and secure home if that place does not exist physically.

I am hoping that each and every one of us can help her and her lovely little ones. Whether it be financially, physically or through kind and loving thoughts, I believe we can show her that she is valued in our community - Earth. That her little family’s wellness and safety are important not just to her, but to us, her fellow man, as well.

In the right hand corner of her blog, for the time being, you will see a “donate” button. If you are able to send even $5 in Cadi’s direction, please do so. If you are able to send Cadi comments to show her just how loved and cradled she is in this community that we share, please do so. And if you are able to just send Cadi and her children a kind thought and a hope for better days, please do so.

We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been — a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free.
