Ellie Grace's "Emily Hat"

If you have been following me for a while, you will know that I love bright colors. If I could, I would wear clothes the color of the rainbow everyday . . . people would be amazed when I walk down the street. They would think they are seeing a"triple" rainbow . . lolol

I also like to crochet with thread . . right now, #3 is my favorite. The colors are so right and cheery. They make me happy wen I see them.

Knowing this, I fell in love with a hat pattern called Cap Emily. If you find you like it, it is available for sale on Ravelry here. I would tell you the cost, but it is isn't in dollars. I believe it is 2 Euros.

I couldn't decide which picture showed the colors the best, so you will get two . . . 1 will lots of flash and 1 with little flash. Both look pretty good.

The butterflies come from here.

Oh, how do you like my hat model? Having no children, it is hard for me to measure hats for the size I need . . . so I bought a 5" diameter and a 6" diameter ball. Takes the guess out of guesstimating. If I need adult sizes, I use my neighbor. If I need it really big for an adult, then my head works . . lots of hair and a thick skull, can't be loads of brains in there . . . LOLOL

Now, if the people I make hats for have perfectly round heads, I know I can fit them by how their hat fits on the balls . . . he he he he he

Later Gators!

  1. Very pretty! I love all the different colors together. And never ever thought about using #3 thread for a hat.
