Cat's Easter Cross

Last night I was goofing around with some thread.  The thread was pastel and just screamed "EASTER." Then, when I though of Easter, I thought of Jesus Christ which lead me to a cross.
So, below, you will find the pattern I came up with for a simple, Easter Cross. This one was made for a Ravelry Swap . . . Cat's Easter Cross
Yarn / Thread Choices
#3 or # 5 Crochet Thread
Sock Yarn
(Any yarn that is similar to the above mentioned materials)

Crochet Hook : 0 Metal  or hook of choice
(This is a special hook . . . it was my grandma's.)
   
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends

Abbreviations:
ch(s) - chain(s)
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
st(s) - stitch(es)

Chain 6

Row 1: Sc in 1st st and across to the end, ch 1, turn (5 sc)

Rows 2 - 14: Repeat Row 1

Row 15: Sc in 1st st and across to the end, ch 6, ch 1, turn (5 sc and 6 ch)

Row 16: Sc in 1st ch, next 4 chs and the 5 sc to the end, ch 6, ch 1, turn. (10 sc and 6 ch)

Row 17: Sc in 1st ch, next 4 chs and the 10 sc to the end, ch 1, turn. (15 sc)

Rows 18 - 20: Repeat  Row 17.

Row 21: Sc in 1st st and next 10, ch 1, turn. (10 sc)

Row 22: Sc in 1st st and the next 4, ch 1, turn (5 sc)

Rows 23 - 25: Repeat Row 22

Note: Now, you need to decide how you want to finish your cross.
I have finished mine in Option 2.


Row 26 and border: Sc in 1st st and next 2 sts:

Option 1:Ch 50, sl st around charm, sl st in each ch to last ch, finish with Option 3 instructions

Option 2: *Ch 50, sl st around charm, sl st in each ch to last ch,* repeat twice, finish with Option 3 instructions

Option 3: sc in each st around . . . with 3 sc in each corner, sl st to beginning ch 1 to join

 Fasten off and weave in ends.
