Stopping by House on a Spring Day

Stopping by House on a Spring Day
by
the Fur~Babies Momma
with apologies to Carl Sandburg

Whose yard this is
I think I know
She's lived in Indiana
Just a while ago.

She will not see me stopping here
To see her yard

grow
and grow.

Her Indy dog
must think it queer

to be in the house

so very near.
Between the Erie Canal

and Lake Erie
the hottest spring in many a year.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Through the glass
Miss Indy looks

wondering what it would take
to be out with the folks.
The only thing she wants to do
is run  outside and bark at you.

The yards are lovely

bright and green
and I have promises to keep.

And miles to crochet before I sleep.
And miles to crochet before I sleep.

Hope you enjoyed your glimpse
into our Memorial Day Weekend 2012
