A New Toy

Today I FINALLY finished my Babette for me soon to be born great niece. Found out last night the doctor was going to induce her this morning. Since we are going home Wednesday, I figured today was "finish the border" day. . . and it was until I ran out of yarn.

So I did an AC Moore run and, as luck would have it, we got the call when I was gone that missy made her appearance.

As of 12:43 pm, today, I became a great aunt.

Mother and child are doing great.
Father, my  nephew, is so proud that he watches=d everything.

She is a biggy . . 9 pounds and 21" long.

Will be meeting her "officially" the end of the week. I am so excited . . . I want to whisper our Gaumer girl family secrets to her . . . and hopefully be able to rock with her.

  1. She is absolutely amazingly sincerely beautiful! I love babies that are born with chubby legs. Give her smoochees for me too -- even though we're not related it feels like we all share in the joy, right? (Besides, who doesn't want to smooch a baby right -- in those little folds right under their chin???)

  2. Sweet and beautiful little girl. I miss living near family and being around the little ones.

  3. Awww, congratulations Great Auntie Paula! She's gorgeous! I'm a great aunt 12 times and great great aunt 2 times!! I feel old as dirt (and look it too)!! Ok that was 5 exclamations...I'm done. lol Have a safe trip y'all.

  4. Congrats Paula - have fun cuddling the new baby. She is adorable!

  5. Congratulations, Aunt Paula. :) She is so sweet. She looks like she's saying "Yup, here I am" ~ the way she's laying, with her arm up. :)
