Jammies Day

Today is a Jammies day . . . no plans for anything and the jammies just feel good.

Now, to be perfectly honest, I need to take a shower BUT, the thought of putting clothes on after a shower and messing with my hair to get all of the "rats" out of it just blew my mind this morning. And the MAIN reason . . I hate to put a bra on when I'm hot, so why put on undies, short and a t-shirt if I'm not wearing a bra . . . so, jammies it is.

My "jammies" aren't really jammies . . . they are cotton sleeveless night gowns in the summer and short sleeved ones in the winter. So I wear them until they fall off of me . . . I think the one I have on now must be 3 or 4 years old. They get so soft and comfy that I would wear them every day, all day if I could. But, alas, one must get dressed some times.

If any of you have the Family Tree program, you know that you can accumulate a TON of media. Now that I know what I am doing . . . at least I think I know what I'm doing . . . I decided I needed to find out where it was stored in the computer and rename everything. So, now, if I am looking for a picture of Grandma Pearl, I know I can find it under "Krieder, Pearl."

Now, I would LOVE to know why there are at least 10 million of some of the pictures I have used. No idea why, I only posted them for one person.

When I finish, I may have lost pictures that I wanted to keep, but now I can find them because their names make sense.

Oh, and instead of reading "US WORLD WAR II Records . . . " I can find, "Gaumer, Paul L . . . US WORLD WAR II Registration." SO all of the WWI and WWII Draft Registrations are findable.

Oh, and this might be the best thing . . . I found a birth record for my paternal 4th great grandmother's maiden name. I don't think I had it written down . . it was one of those things I copied without reading.

So, I guess, all in all, organizing this media is going well.

  1. I would love to sit around in my jammies all day also. I wear a pair of men's sleep shorts and a t-shirt in the summer and a pair of long pajamas in the winter. I couldn't find a pair of women's shorts to suit me, so I went to the men's dept. Hey, it works!

  2. I would love to stay in my jammies all day. I don't know why I get dressed some days. Soon as dinner is done, I put more jammies on. I recently was going through my Great Aunts geneology research box that my Grandma gave me, and found out that her father was not born in Germany like I had originally thought; he was born in Farmington Michigan. But my Grandpa was born in Germany.
