No pictures in this post . . . I took some, but they were relatively boring. The actual "recipes" are easy as pie . . . and I probably shouldn't even be allowed to call them recipes.
#1 Biscuit Waffles
1. Buy your favorite brand of biscuits in the grocery dairy department . . . you know, the ones known as Grandma's "Thwock" Biscuits since you "thwock" the paper container on the counter edge to open them.
2. Put the individual biscuits into the sections of the waffle iron . . 4 biscuits for 4 waffle iron sections.
3. Close the lid and cook like regular waffles.
They are a little thicker and dryer than regular waffles (and we have a Belgian Waffle Maker and they were thicker than any Belgian Waffles we have ever made.) But, hey . . as long as they carry the Maple Syrup to my waiting mouth, they work for me ! ! ! !
#2 These are called 3-2-1 Cupcakes
1. Mix a box of Angle Food Cake mix with any other type of cake mix. (I used a Devils Food Cake this time.)
2. Using a coffee cup, spray it with "Pam" or a similar cooking spray.
3. Measure 3 tablespoons of the combined cake mixes and 2 tablespoons water into the coffee cup . . . stir to combine.
4. Cook in a microwave for 1 minute.
VIOLA ! ! ! ! ! You have a nice, warm cupcake . . very airy and light, from 3T + 2T + 1 minute = scrumptious.
What little kid wouldn't want to be able to make a cupcake whenever they want . . . and who among us isn't a little kid at heart?
The husband wants to see if we mix the angel food cake with a brownie mix what we will end up with . . . probably light and airy brownies . . .at least, I hope so!
