This is the 2nd Miss Sophia that was born this summer. Only this one was born at 26 weeks, a micro-preemie, all 2 pounds, 3 ounces of her . . she was even 15 inches long.
She has been in the St Vincent's (Indianapolis) NICU since she was born. Momma reports on her daily, and posts pictures on Facebook of her improvement.
The last couple of days, she has had almost all the tubes and the ventilator removed and is doing a bang up job for such a little one.
If you wonder what is in the back of the picture, I make my headbands on rubber bands so they will stretch as the baby grows. |
Her momma, who visits her every day and then has an hour or more drive home every evening, has been putting bows in her hair or headbands on her head. I decided this was the PERFECT time to make her a crown . . . since she is the Queen of the NICU!
