Reindeer

Quite a few radio stations in the Western New York area have started playing Christmas Music. Now, granted, I do love singing along to a good Christmas song any time of the year, but this time of the year is still a little early for continual Christmas music . . . don't ya think?

With that said, I have to show you the cutie I finished a day or two ago.

He even makes the husband laugh when he sees him, so I know he is a cutie patootie.

I have been in love with him for quite a while but hated paying $3.49 (+/-) for the pattern, but I finally gave in when I decided to buy several when they were on sale.

He is supposed to have a garland around his neck, but I wanted everything to be crocheted, so I made him a Dr. Who length scarf. Also, the pattern called for things to be glued on, or glued together. I didn't like that either so I basted them on with yarn. Makes me a lot happier to have a totally "woman - made" reindeer with no man-made glue that could dry and then he would start coming apart.

Now, to  get him boxed with the Christmas hats I have made for the great-niece so she can get them before December 1 . . or close to that date.

  1. Funny you say that about Christmas music because I was listening to Pandora this afternoon and was soooo tempted to turn on one of my Christmas channels. As a former retailer, I'm finding I miss hearing the Christmas tunes even though it's so early. I have a feeling this year's going to be one of those I end up going a little over the top.

    Happy Thanksgiving Paula!

  2. While I'm totally okay with listening to my Christmas music, and even getting a head start on my favorite Christmas movies, I was in a store yesterday that was already playing Christmas music and it really seemed too much to me!

  3. I know it is a little ridiculous they have Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff all out in Walmart now. MerryThanksHallowGivingMas.... ? Your reindeer is adorable. I am not doing much for Christmas gifts this year. I did start a stocking. Not sure if I will finish it. I think I totally burned myself out last Christmas, and I still haven't recovered. Lol
