Snowman with Scarf Hat

The snow season is in the near future, but Christmas is right around the corner. Not only will children have "visions of Sugar Plums" dancing in their head, but Frosty the Snowman will start making appearances in their dreams.

To celebrate the onset of winter, and fun days playing in the snow, how about a snowman decked out in his own scarf to keep him warm while outside?

This pattern is designed, and written, so i t can be adapted for the size head you need. Measurements are given for all sizes from preemies to adult males. All you need to know is the distance around the selected recipient's head (circumference.)

This is a fun little hat to make. With shimmer yarn, or any of the new yarns with some sparkle, the hat looks good. It also looks adorable in flat white yarn. The scarf color can be adapted for the likes of the recipient.

This Carrot Nose makes me smile :)

I chose to use buttons for my eyes and my mouth, but it would look just as cute with crocheted Magic Circles for the eyes and the mouth . . . perhaps using black thread instead of yarn to achieve the size you desire.

If you would like to buy the pattern, it is available for $4.99 in my Ravelry Store, "The Fur~Babies Momma." Just click the buy now button to be transported to my shop.

***100% of the purchase price for the pattern goes to Natalie's 2nd Chance Shelter, a no-kill dog shelter in my home state of Indiana. It is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization***
