Crescent Roll Dessert Pizza

The hubster and I couldn't wait to try it.
Two pieces gone and a LOT to go :)

Pizza
2 (8 oz) pkgs Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
8 oz Cream Cheese
1/4 C Powdered Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 tsp Vanilla or Almond Extract
2 (21 oz) cans of Pie Filling

Glaze (not really needed but it looks good)
1/2 C Powdered Sugar
2 - 3 tsp Milk

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Unroll crescent rolls and arrange 12 of the triangles (wide side out, pointed end in) on a parchment lined cookie sheet or pizza pan.
  3. Lightly flour the rolls and roll out the seams making a 14" circle. (We took the parchment paper and rolls off the pan so they were flat . . I used a wine bottle as a roller.)
  4. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg and vanilla (or almond) and mix well . . it will seem thin, but it is perfect.)
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll crust.
  6. Top with 1 can of pie filling . . we needed two, so I put two in the ingredients just in case.
  7. Cut the remaining 4 crescent triangles into thirds . . . place them over the pie filling (wide side to the outside like the crust) so you have a "wheel with spokes" look to the pizza.
  8. Bake 20 - 30 minutes or until edges are lightly brown.
  9. Cool.
  10. If you want a glaze, mix glaze ingredients together and drizzle over the dessert.

HINTS
  1. We used WalMart's Great Value Crescent Rolls . . they taste like a pie crust when baked . . light and flaky.
  2. We had planned on using Carmel Apple Pie Filling, but when it only covered half the pizza, we put Cherry Pie filling on the other half . . . two desserts for one.
  3. Next time, no glaze . . the pizza is good without it.
