Moving Update

8:32 am, this morning,
I got a phone call from my bank in Indiana
our offer has been accepted on this house at home.

Living room next to the garage.
Two bedrooms facing the front.
A "twin" bedroom matches the bedroom on the right with the three windows.
Dininr Room and Kitchen behind living room.
One and a half baths, full basement
and, for Indy, the right half of the backyard  is fenced in.
The back door goes directly to this part of the yard.
So, if all goes well . . . no more stairs for middle of the night
human or fur potty trips.
Nervous with anticipation about starting this part of the journey.

Excited about the possibility of actually being home with my family
but will be missing our neighbors,
and all of the emenities we will miss from living here.

Not sure how well you can see this
but there is another window on the side of the house for the corner bedroom.
The Master in the back has this same window configuration.
I am already thinking about the curtains I want to make
for the bedrooms.
I think the next part of this journey
will be to find a moving company.
Wonder how much more it will cost
compared to our move here in July 2006.

I hope this tree lasts for our lifetime.
I can see many summer days spent in our swing under this tree.

Not so sure how I feel about the fireplace in the living room.
Interesting Southwestern design for a home in the midwest.
But, I think it is growing on me.
Now, to see if I can find some other lights for the niches.

  1. It's an exciting time for you both, we have been so happy since our move in 2009.

  2. Congratulations, Paula! I hope it will all go well. We are going to be moving, too. (Big shock, but we will hopefully be better off in the long run.) Like you I am not anticipating the move..
