Build A Better BAsket

Better Basket Blog Hop started as a charity blog meme, bloggers were able to raise $10 by writing a blog post of donating a virtual Easter Basket. The Hershey Company promised to donate $10 per each post written for the Children’s Miracle Network, up to $5,000. Within the first week, over 200 bloggers participated, and soon it was 400 bloggers, and The Hershey Company was so impressed by the kindness and caring of the hundreds of bloggers participating that they decided to donate $7,000 in honor of all the caring bloggers who are part of spreading the word of paying it forward this Easter season.

Teri . . . gets one for peartreegallery - art by teri (You MUST visit her site . . it's luscious!)

Miss Susan in Italy . . wool and walking in The Apennines (she lives close to my 2 most favorite foods . . Bologna, Italy, and her region makes Parmesan cheese. . .what a way to go through life!)

Cadi . . . should get 1,0000 for her Maheagirl blog(This girl teaches 2nd graders to KNIT ! ! ! !Anyway, she has taught them how to knit and you should see their gnomes and rooster egg covers. This woman deserves everything she can get to have THAT much patience. . . spoken from a Middle School Teacher's perspective.)

Carina in Finland . . . What a great person to have met in this cyber-world . . and her blog, Knitwitfun's Blog is written in English for her friends who only have English as a Language . . no ESL here.

And, last, but by no means least, my favorite English friend who is in her 20th week of pregnancy . . . Ceri and her CarpeDyem's Microcosm . . . she has been such a busy little beaver knitting for her new Little SPud(letta) that she deserves some candy to enjoy.

So, my friends . . spread the word about Hershey's donation through passingthis basket onto your friends. $7,000 is a nice donation for the Children's Miracle Network.

  1. Oh my gosh. I think I have ADD. When you first put the comment on my blog about this Easter basket, I didn't know what to do!

Funny that CarpeDiem is preggo, too & we're around the same time. I have a lovely bookmark from a swap from her.

I'll try to go to bed now. Had a late nap, now I'm suffering from insomnia...

    Blessings,
    Cadi
