1 C Sugar
2 1/2 C PLAIN Bread Crumbs
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 1/2 C Applesauce . . .we like the chunky applesauce
1/2 C Butter, room temp or melted
4 Eggs
1 Apple . . chopped into small pieces
Heat oven to 325° F. Butter 1 ½ qt casserole dish.
Combine in bowl sugar, cinnamon & butter; beat 1 minute on medium.
Add eggs; beat 2minutes at high until light and fluffy.
Fold in bread crumbs and applesauce.
Spoon into cassarole.
Sprinkle with apple pieces; press gently into the mixture.
(Personally, I like to fold the apple pieces into the mixture instead of placing them on top.)
Bake from 50 – 60 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes.

I like to serve mine warm with vanilla ice cream as a dessert
or for breakfast with cold milk poured on it.
