Homemade Supper

Would you check this meal out? Does it look scrumptious or what?

Pork chops, straight form the grill, roasted potatoes, braised cabbage with apples and marinated tomatoes. Oh, and a little chunky Musselman's applesauce.

Now, I know all of you know how to make the pork chops on the grill . . . just pop them on, let them cook until you get the color you want, then take them off.

If you don't know how to make the rest, here are the instructions, per the husband.

Roasted Little Red Potatoes
Red potatoes. cut in halves or fourths
Garlic, minced
Fresh Rosemary, cut up to mimic the size of garlic
  1. Spray potatoes with non-stick cooking spray and then toss with rosemary and garlic.
  2. Place on a foil lined baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick baking spray
  3. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Cook for 25 - 35 minutes, or until potatoes are done.

Braised Cabbage with Apples
Half of a large cabbage or three-fourth of a small cabbage
Onion
2 apples . . . from firm to soft (the firmer will hold its shape better)
  1. Cut cabbage into wedges and then cut into bite sized pieces . . remember they will shrink up when cooked.
  2. Place cabbage into a large skillet, add 1/2 Cup water, cover and bring to a boil.
  3. Boil for about 5 minutes, stirring often, meanwhile cut the onion into into slices.
  4. Separate onion slices and add to cabbage.
  5. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Cut apples into slices (the size an "apple slicer" cutes them) add to mixture.
  7. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 15 minutes or until cabbage is tender and apples are soft.
Marinated Cherry/Plum/Regular Tomatoes
Tomatoes
1 T Balsamic Vinegar
1 T Olive Oil
1 T  Lemon Juice
1/2  tsp Rosemary
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Marjoram
1/2 tsp Sweet Paprika
Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
  1. Cut tomatoes into bite sized pieces
  2. Add spices and a pinch or two of salt, vinegar, olive oil and lemon juice.
  3. Stir together and let marinate in the refrigerator.
  4. Add more tomatoes to any left over marinade until marinade is gone.

I topped the cabbage with the Musselman's Chunky Applesauce because I wanted more of the apple taste to come through plus, I like applesauce with my pork chops so I killed two birds with one stone :0}
