Happy Birthday Mom!

Yep, today is that special day when your doctor (wasn't it Granny Stewart?) turned on the Victrola and danced around to "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles," which was what was on the Victrola at that time, in grandma and grandpa's apartment, with joy because you came into the world healthy and grandma, who was 37 when you were born, had had a good delivery.

Then, 76 years to the day, you left us. It sure wasn't as easy going out of this world, as it was coming in, was it? But, I knew you were ready. I held your hand because I knew what was coming. I talked to you and told you to tell Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Winegardner, Grandma and Grandpa Gaumer, Joy and Paka how much I love them and miss them. I know you heard me because you passed very quickly after that.

Poor Lee, had to be called in Peru. Left the sectional and when everyone wondered where "Coach Gaumer" was, Joyce knew. As soon as she got back in Logan, she came by the house. Man, that's what friends are for.

By the way, how did you like the fact that I had Susan play "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" for you as you left Kroeger? I figured if it brought you into the world, it could take you out ;P

I miss you so much, but you raised me well. Miss Independence is doing fine. You and Dad would have liked the husband, he is a good man who loves me and, as you would say, Mom, "Keeps me in a manner to which I am accustomed."  LOLOL

I'll see you when it's my time . . . and please, don't make it too soon. I am enjoying life, more so than I have in years and I'm not ready for it to end.
