This morning, they removed the boom. So now we have, what looks like, ice bergs have been calving up stream.
This is the Ice Boom. The Corp of Engineers stretch it across the river before the ice forms. The water flows below and the boom holds the frozen top of the lake. |
We had to go to the park and get pictures. And, on the way out of the park, I saw a woodchuck scurrying up the hill to his burrow. So I also got two pictures of him peaking out at us.
