Catch Up

Last post was March 29 . . . seems like forever ago.

Still feel under pressure to get things done, yet no where to put what I get done.

Half bath make over starts tomorrow. The door are narrow and I wanted a stackable washer/dryer to put in there. (The actual washer hook up is in the basement but I refuse to do steps anymore.) Jerry, who has done all of my remodeling here in Logan, took the measurements and then went to the Maytag store to see if we could make one fit.

Found one that is 23 7/8 inches at the widest. The door is 24 inches.  Jerry said it might fit through but he thought he would take the inside trim off and then be here when it is delivered so, if it is still tight, he'll take the wood work around the door off if needed.

I told him, "Just grease up the door and push hard!"

I never wanted one like this. I always thought I wouldn't have room to get stuff in and out. I was amazed at the room this one has.

I will still need to go to the laundromat for bedspreads, but I'm fine with that :)

I want beadboard around the bottom. This is the third bathroom I
have remodeled and I have had Jerry put this in each of them. This is the 1st time I have used white, though.

However, with a small bathroom I thought this might make it look larger.

When we went to pick this up we went looking to see what else we could find. Here is what we came home with:

Since we only have room for a 24" vanity and 24" medicine cabinet I was lucky to find two that are perfect.

I like a taller spout in the bathroom so my hands fit under it better AND if I want to fill a normal glass it will fit under it.

This is something I have had for over a year. It will go above the toilet, to the left of the medicine cabinet. I saw it, fell in love with it and it will be PERFECT for those things you want to drip dry.

Now to see how quickly it goes together. Jerry and an electrician were here yesterday to decided what they both need to do (we don't have the correct electricity outlets in the room for the dryer.) The electrician happened to be a former student. As I was cleaning out the area in the garage he would have to go to to check the electric box I yelled back in to him, "I treated you nice in Middle School didn't I?" He laughed so much!

  1. I love a bit of remodelling, we have nothing here to do, don't forget to show pics when done.
